Production

For the opening titles I created in adobe after effects, I chose the font and the animation which I felt fit best with my theme. I exported it and opened it up into premiere pro to start the editing.
I decided to go with this font and animation as I felt it was fitting to the theme of pointe shoes. This would have stayed the same with or without covid as it doesn't effect the font or animation of the text.

I decided to add a baby pink smoke effect in the background of the text as the colour fits with the stereotypical colours associated with ballet. I found the smoke effect on YouTube and brought it into premier pro, I then clicked onto video effects, keying, ultra key and dragged it onto the clip I then click the tool in effects controls and remove the background allowing me to be able to use the clip over the top of the text. This would have stayed the same with plan A and plan B as I would have still been going with the same idea opening titles idea.

I chose a piece of music to go with the opening titles cut it to where I liked and placed it on the timeline. I then faded both the music, text and the effect. I decided to do this so that it didn't just cut off and look choppy and jumpy as the audience would much prefer a nice flowing piece rather than a choppy unflowly badly cut piece. This stayed the same throughout plan A and Plan B. Below is a photo of the fades I used which are cross fade on the effect and text and constant power on the audio. I decided to use these fades as I felt they worked best on the clips and audio.

Here on the clip as you can see I have the studio in the background. I decided on doing this as I didn't have access to an actual dance studio due to covid 19. I did this by having a green screen behind the ballet barre and adding the ultra key effect and changing the background. I then noticed how the white wall was just blank so, decided to try the ultra key out on that which worked however it didn't work aswell, I had patches where it was still showing the wall, I added a couple more ultra keys to see if I could remove that colour to add the background but it didn't work so I stuck with how close I could get it with out it removing half of myself from the video. This would not have been the case if I filmed in a dance studio as there would have been no need for a green screen.

Here is a before and after of two separate clips with the green screen and after it has been edited as you can see im transparent, I wasn't sure how to sort this out so I left it. Due to covid 19 and lack of space, equipment and location this would not of been the case if I had access to a dance studio.
I decided to add the sky arts logo in the top right corner to make it feel more realistic and as its a dance piece its more likely to go onto a channel such as Sky Arts.

For the end credits I decided to go with this font as it was similar to the opening titles one a lot bolder I centred it and deciced to play ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance) In the background to finish it off. This would of stayed the same in both plans and it isn't affected by covid-19.

Here is an image of the lights I used, They are LED lights that are genuinely used in the construction industry.  We had them set up with two in the corner by the greenscreen one by the door and one the other side by the ensuite door, we also used the natural lighting from the window and a ring light directly infront. For the dressing room scene I blacked out the window and had two ring lights and my LED lights on my ceiling in red. If I filmed in an actual studio, I would not have needed these lights as I would of had the dance studio lights to use. The dressing room scene remains the same as I would of filmed it at home either way.
